Unleash Your Reel Potential

From creating social media content to full-scale digital films, from making music videos to documentaries, Tiffin University’s digital media program, with the professional track in video production gives students hands-on experience conceptualizing, shooting and editing real-world professional projects. Students get experience in professional practices and on industry-standard equipment used throughout the creative process through development, production and post-production.

Whether a student aspires to create feature films, serve on a television crew or run their own videography service, TU’s video production track teaches vital skills applicable to jobs throughout the industry. In project-based courses, students begin building their portfolio immediately and develop a variety of skills needed for the multiple career paths available in the film, video and new media production industries.

Students can pursue a variety of careers in video production – from working as in-house producers creating content for advertising, promotion, training and education, to running their own video business. Graduates may work as a videographer for news, events or new media.

All video production courses give students opportunities for hands-on learning as members of video production teams, getting experience in directing, producing, cinematography, camera operations, lighting, film audio and editing. Working on narrative, corporate, promotional, journalistic, documentary films and videos, students work in all phases of pre-production, production and post-production, elevating through the ranks of a production team through four semesters of work.
